Large Families

Introduction

If you need to prepare a lot of food for a lot of people, chances are you're going to require different things from your oven than someone only cooking for themselves.

If you have a large family, you'll likely be using a lot of burners to prepare a meal. This means you'll want a large range with enough burners to accommodate all your cookware. You'll also want to make sure the model is capable of sustaining a high heat even when you have all the burners firing. While this won't be a problem for electric models, some gas ranges won't be able to draw gas fast enough, resulting in a reduced maximum heat on all its burners.

You'll also need to consider what kind of oven you want. Some families might prefer a single, large oven, while a dual-oven setup might make more sense for others. In either case, however, you're going to want a high overall oven capacity, to facilitate simultaneously baking several things at once.
